Well known as a vibrant, tolerant and multicultural metropolis. Toronto each May, celebrate newcomers offering a fun and welcoming atmosphere where every one can learn about services for newcomers and experience Toronto’s rich diversity.
“Toronto is a city that welcomes the world, and in that spirit the 11th annual Toronto Newcomer Day was held on May 28 at Nathan Philips Square said Mayor Olivia Chow.
This year’s celebration from 10 am-3 pm featured:
Cultural performances and remarked from special guests?
A Play Mobile for children to play and learn about sports
A citizenship ceremony
A marketplace, newcomer food fair, local food trucks and so much more!
The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada NEPMCC was in attendance to welcome newcomers with its exceptional booth
The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada, is another world media site representing 850 Canadian publications from all over the dominion.

Toronto Newcomer Day made everyone in attendance to enjoy this family fun and friendly and entertainment day and get the opportunity to learn about the community programs and resources available for newcomers.
