For the fourth year in a row, SoViolette headed north to Owen Sound, Ontario, for the Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Joining the team was Polonez News correspondent Marek Goldyn. Here is what the weekend on the shores of Georgian Bay looked like.
The Concours is a full weekend of car events. It starts with a tour along the scenic roads around Owen Sound and a Cars & Coffee meet downtown. Everything builds toward Sunday, when the show field opens on the lawns overlooking Georgian Bay.

1932 Rohr 8 Type F Streamliner. The star of the weekend took home both Best of Show and the People's Choice award.
1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Sport Cabriolet. This elegant pre-war Mercedes won Outstanding Pre-war and the Mercedes-Benz Icons class.

1961 Chevrolet Corvette Mako Shark I. The famous concept car earned Outstanding Sport Car.

Mercedes-AMG One. Among the classics stood a modern hypercar, built with Formula 1 technology.

The Women in Motion category celebrated women owners and their cars. Highlights included a pink 1957 Monarch and Kate's 1994 right-hand-drive Toyota Supra, which she drove all the way from Ottawa.

Art was part of the show too. Jay Koka, the official lead automotive artist of the Concours, displayed his work, along with Hepeining Art from Halifax.

The Cobble Beach Concours has raised more than $1.46 million for charity. It supports the Sunnybrook Foundation and the Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation. This year's funds include a new ultrasound unit for Brightshores.
Great cars, beautiful views and a good cause: Cobble Beach remains one of the highlights of Ontario's car season. We are already looking forward to next September.
